Let me introduce you to Beacon. Starting this month, the newsletter is going to be a medium for enlightening you on the various developments taking place in the area of renewable energy, particularly solar, in India and in the US.
Many opportunities have arisen ever since the two governments announced a collaboration to meet clean energy targets, and Tesla’s recent comments about building a Gigafactory in India certainly portends a bright future for the ecology and economy of our country.
If all goes well, meeting a sustainable solution for India’s energy needs is imminent.
India, US push for $30 mn energy storage research initiative

India and the US have agreed on a $30 million public-private five-year research initiative for a joint research on smart grid and energy storage technology. Smart grid and storage technology will transform how we produce and consume electricity, which has the potential to decrease carbon pollution by scaling up renewable energy deployment.

Indo-US investors dialogue can boost bilateral trade: FM

Indian states are growing at around 10-11% and a dialogue between them and American investors can help boost Indo-US bilateral trade, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said on Monday at a meeting with US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker and Director of the US National Economic Council Jeffrey Zients, ahead of the second India-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue.

India, US need to work on sustainable development: Richard Verma

Emphasising on the need to forge a strong partnership to achieve a more sustainable development, the US Ambassador to India, Richard Verma, on Thursday said India's ambitious development goals have the potential to "aggravate resource depletion and global warming".
"The challenge is clear for all of us: To pioneer a path towards a more sustainable future," Verma said addressing the India Energy Access Summit.

India-US CEO forum to meet
